Just at the top of the long steep hill on the A259, rising out of Eastbourne towards East Dean, turn right onto a bumpy track (The South Downs Way, just past the Golf Club House). In 200 yd turn left onto a track down the side of the golf course. After 800 yd you will find the trials field off to the left, alongside the bridleway to East Dean.

The course is about 200 yd and flat, with a cross slope towards the bridle path.
