Summerdown Day 1

The trials field is at the end of Downs View Lane, East Dean, off the A259 between Eastbourne and Seaford. Downs View Lane is on the LHS of the road as you climb the hill from East Dean, going towards Eastbourne. This is a large field with about a 600 yard outrun up a steep hill with the dog unsighted for much of the run.

The trials were held on a glorious sunny day. The sheep were
testing but manageable and although the course is challenging almost all of the dogs managed to collect their sheep. As the running was so good, the judge, Mrs C Worgan had to bring in a standard in the afternoon.
