Whiligh is situated off the B2099, mid way between Wadhurst and Ticehurst at TQ 657 313. It is on the south side of Bewl Water. Watch for the signs on the main road.

The field is undulating pasture lane and the sheep are usually good.

Report
The trial was held in a smallish rectangular field with an outrun of about 250yd, and a shallow valley between the post and the outlet pen. The weather was gentle to heavy rain, and it was presumably the weather that meant that 12 runners missed the trial.

The sheep ran well around the course. The shed and pen were more difficult - the sheep had no fear of the handler and at least one would dodge around the back of the pen and the others would shoot in and out of the pen, trampling over the handler in the process.

Two excellent runs by Jane Drinkwater took first and second places, and, unusually, it was a novice dog, Jane´s SLIP, that won the trial. Fine runs by Ron MacRae, Hughie Cole, John Russell, and Toby Bulgin completed the prize list. It was good to see John Russell back in the prize lists after his illness.
